With the new year comes tax season in the US. TurboTax and TaxCut are the two major tax preparation software apps (although there are others). Both have had spyware and privacy issues in the past. The issues were enough to make me steer clear of both of them past few years. Does anyone know if there issues with either program this year? Is it safe to return or should I stick with TaxAct?

You can stick with TaxAct, I use TurboTax myself and have never had a problem.

I've been using TaxAct for years and I can't see any reason to change.
