93' chevy cavalier, water seems to be leaking from somewhere near the firewall, possibly the air conditiong ?

June 22nd, 2008 · 3 Comments

It looks as if it is dripping from very near the firewall since the block is not getting wet at all and the water runs from the spot behind the engine, and as I observe it leaking, it seems to be from some connection against the firewall, but below eye-view looking into the engine.
Even just sitting in the driveway, the water now leaks directly out as I add more to the system.
Air-conditioning connection?…water-pump?…
Thank you!

If the a/c is on in the car, then water will leak out of the front of the car. It'll leak for up to or even more then an hour after you shut the car off. Its completely normal.

Since you can't be adding water to the air conditioning system, why do you think it's an air conditioning connection?
If you are adding water to the cooling system and it's running out as you add, you may have a bad hose, water pump, or head gasket. Get a mechanic.
