A better alternative to Comodo firewall?

May 31st, 2008 · 4 Comments

Hello,

I'm just wondering, I've been using Norton Anti virus for so long but just recently i uninstalled and switched to avast. I've got no complains it's way better than Norton was, so anyway i decided to look for a better alternative to McAfee firewall as well. I'm using Comodo because it's free and someone recommended it. It's ok, but it's really intrusive. It prompts you every two minutes and i think it slows down the pc too. Can anyone suggest a better one that's also free?

Thanks very much

I heard some knowledgeable people rate it higher than Comodo. Free version has some features disabled, but I don't care - all firewall functions work OK.

Well, Comodo is rated number one, the pop-ups are for your protection.I have it and I know it's a pain but it's much better than spending hours scanning your computer because something undetected got through.Get threatfire to go with your avast and comodo and you should never have many problems.By the way, comodo uses very, very little resources.
