The actual reason is that two antivirus programs can conflict with each other; and sometimes a virus can get through. It can also slow down your computer or cause system instability.

After using a registry cleaner you\'re going to need spyware protection to get rid of the main source of registry errors which is… spyware. Just to be on the safe side, run this program after you run your registry cleaner. It will help out immensely preventing future registry errors.

Most good anti virus programs will not install if there's another already installed
Having more than one can cause conflicts —They may read each others DAT files as viruses
