Have a used computer which came with no disk and have attempted to restore, disk cleanup, defrag, and basically clean the hard drive and am unable to do anything except logon as guest user. I do not have access to owner/admin login information. What more can I do or where can I get a systems disk for this unit? I have a XP disk, but it is for a toshiba laptop, not a desktop nad does not acknowledge it. What else may I try or do?

it sounds like windows has gotten corrupted. You need to get a windows xp installation disk. Then just use the serial number that came with the computer.
