I am killing myself trying to completely uninstall McAfee software!! I want to download the free Norton Online Security via Verizon Yahoo. It first told me that I had to uninstall McAfee shredder, and now tells me I have to uninstall McAfee Security Suite 2005. The crazy thing is, I never had the 2005 version installed, just the 2004 version!!! Nothing about McAfee is under add/remove programs. I tried using perfect install, but it didn't work!! No traces of the God forbid McAfee are on my machine!!! I deleted all files in the hard drive and registry! I've tried everything! I looked online and many people have the same problem. If I can't get Verizon Yahoo security, is there any other free antivirus/antispyware that never expires and doesn't run annoying updates at startup like AVG?!?!? Whoever can help me will be my new best friend!!! I'm ready to lose it here!!!!!!!!

go to avast.com download the home edition, is good for up to 18 month is free all u have to do is register and get a program key
