Ok so Avast found some Trojans and they are in the virus Chest…. so now is it safe for me to right click those files and hit "Delete" once they're in the chest or what?? Please help me if you can. Thanks ![]()

It should tell how to delete, if it never did it for you. but their safe in the chest, read the help pages

go to aavst antivirus readme file and read up about your program. All the info is there to all the questions you have.

If they are in the chest they can't hurt you. The chest is a place to put viruses that avast! is positively sure that deletion is ok (like it might bug*** up the system if you delete them). Try a restart and if your pc seems alright then delete them.

Opening the chest will not release the virus.
Opening the virus file, WILL release it.
So, you open the chest and delete the file.
Anytime Avast gives your the options to quaranteen or delete;
tell it to DELETE !
The ONLY reason to quaranteen a virus, is when you want to submit it to a site like Symantec, or Trend Micro as a new virus for which they would want to
locate it's location in registry, and publish a fix.
If it's a virus that's already been discovered, they've already done that, and so just DELETE.
