about avast anti-virus?

November 13th, 2008 · 3 Comments

I don’t get it. how does it work? it scanned the computer and then it listed like 10 options when it found virus or malware. I chose delete them all. Now some of the programs are not functioning properly. when it finds a virus, should I just choose ignore or move to folder? I tried the repair them all option. It doesn’t work for some reason.

is this a good virus program in the first place?

Its an excellent anti-virus you should choose the quarantine option until you know everything is still working ok.

It’s a great program. However, *any* program has the potential to make occasional mistakes by flagging safe (and critical) files as bad.

For this reason remember ALWAYS quarantine first, run your computer as normal for a week or so, then if everything continues to run properly, THEN delete permanently.

But for now, try your system restore to see if it will bring back the missing files.

You can just quarintene, i heard it is very good! Personally i use Avira AntiVir free edition! has the highest detection rates and works great! to test it go on youtube and type how to make a test virus, then click on any vid, copy the text on notepad, and if your virus detects it…..your Good!! Avira detected it!!!http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/download_avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html
