So my laptop was left on for a while about 2 hours tops and i came back to go on it but i didn’t know it was left on someone else was using it.. anyways i came back to use it and i turned it on i came to a message saying fatal error reading boot.ini i have no idea what this is so i know the best way to repair it is to press f8 and run on safe mode and do system restore but somehow im pressing f8 and it doesnt show any modes that i can go on so i want to know if someone knows the problem and has a way to fix it remember it is a ACER Aspire laptop

Sounds like your boot.ini file has become corrupt, try following these instructions to repair it

it sounds like your harddrive is fried.
