I'm trying to uninstall Ad-Aware 2007 by going to control panel, and going to add/remove programs, but it won't let me click on it. When trying to go to the uninstall by right clicking on the shortcut in the menu, it tells me there is not enough space on the disk to write the uninstall (or something like that). I've manually tried to delte the files, but one won't let me, and Ad-Aware is still on ,y computer. I've even tried in safe mode. How do I get rid of it? I'm using Windows 2000.
I can't seem to find any uninstall application for Ad-Aware. Also, I'm uninstalling it because I want to make room on my hard drive, and I already use SpyBot. There is nothing else on my computer to get rid of.

Try going in to your C drive, program files, then the AdAware file and see if it has an Uninstall application. A lot of programs come with one during the download - it's a lot easier than using the control panel which, at least for me, tends to be temperamental. I'm not sure if Adaware has one of these - but it's worth a shot.

Easy pleasy. You have to free up some space on your c: drive. Delete some of your larger files, like video and music that you don't need anymore. Doesn't have to be all of it. Just hunt and peck until you've gotten rid of a couple hundred megs or so. Then run a defrag. That should give you plenty of space to run the uninstall wizard again.
