advice on laptop rootkits/how to unistall avg and add new one?

hi guys i posted a question earlier about my laptop it froze and has 56 rootkits on it,i am trying to download kaspersky free scan and their software anti virus it says i must turn off my avg for the free scan and uninstall it for the free download,can anyone tell me how to do this when i press on the icon it says delete but that wont uninstall it does anyone know how?i was just after purchasing it for a year a month ago,and when i saw the rootkit infections earlier it left an icon in my desktop that says index.html when i press it it goes to my email should i delete that it came up when i saw the rootkits thank so much any advice and help greatly appreciated,i dont have much knowledge of laptops thank you~

      Normally you’ll use the un-installer it came with if you don’t see it or if it doesn’t function properly then use ( if windows ) control panel -> add remove programs -> Search the list and remove the program. You never want to delete the folder unless you know exactly that program wasn’t installed but just copied on. Another if you have root kits, best to take your machine off the network if any or off the Internet while you clean it out otherwise it’ll defeat the purpose of removing root kits.

      Serious If i had 56 rootkits on my PC i will freak out and do a reformat
      Sure you can clean it out
      But Rootkits can damage systems file you dunnoe which ones they damage
      Problems will occur in the future when using your system
      Anti Virus can only clean out rootkits they dun undo the damage to system files
      And Rootkit can compromise you system security and personal data like bank account etc if you ever do online banking
      The best solution is a reformat
