Hi All, my virus scanner had this trojan - Troj_fakeav.dam quarantined but not removed (my dad only install demo version of anti virus). It pop up as XP security centre - not sure who in my family had install it earlier…..>.<
Is there anyway to remove this trojan without harming the rest of my PC? Please advice possible actions to remove the trojan or sites where I can download free antivirus programme (I'm can't afford anti virus program).
Thank you.
PS: I'm a 99% idiot when come to programming or installing computer software so please do guide me along if possible.

First of all Install Again Fresh Copy of WinXp
After Installing First u have to do is Install Nod32 Antivirus
after its installation if u want to use trial then click on trial and ok
then goto its setting update option remove the server address and select automatically update antivirus option then click on update when it updates then install combofix and run it it will scan u r pc and remove the virus.
