all sorts of problems with my computer spyware and I dont know what else…?

April 30th, 2008 · 5 Comments

ok so I had to reformat my computer well i lost my spyware and virus protection with it… anyways now im infected with god knows what. well heres what its doing it wont even let me go to my desktop. it just says spyware detected on your computer install a spyware remover to clean your computer. Its on a blue screen I cant acess my start menu or anything I have to wait for one of the spyware pages to pop up to get on the internet. SO even if i do install an anti-spyware device i cant get to it to run it. So first of all how do I get one that will let me run it without going to my desktop because i can and second im strapped for cash so anything thats free helps best. If it helps I have firefox, how the heck can i get to my start menu also thanks. theres no desktop icons or anything just the sign warning about spyware. thanks.

Restart your computer and as it is restarting push the F8 key , which should allow you to go to a screen to either start windows normally or start in safe mode. Choose safe mode, with networking - then you should be able to get on the internet to download what you need and clean away. Try Windows Defender or AVG - both are free and easy to use.

      Good luck

99.999% of the FREE spyware/adware programs out there are bogus and in most cases are worse than the problem originally. Boot into safe mode (tap the F8 key as your booting and the menu will appear, if you see the windows boot screen its gone too far) Once in safe mode remove all programs like toolbars, internet coupon, internet booster software or any other junk that wasnt specfically installed by you or you dont recognize. Once that is done. Click start, then run and type MSCONFIG and hit ok. a window will pop up, select the startup tab… make sure you UNcheck all boxes that are not your firewall or virus protection, then reboot. this should help. But if it is too bad you may end up formatting and starting fresh. .. a tip .. NEVER click in any pop up window that you did not request to pop up, SPECIALLY those that say you have been infected by spyware or anything else and "click here" to remove it. those are scams and in most cases are the reason for your problems. Hope that helps

The alert that's showing you the infections doesn't exist. It's a rogue program trying to bilk you. Nevertheless, you do have a Smitfraud infection. Follow the instruction to remove. Scroll down to "Removal Instructions:" Also try out RogueRemover, and both of these programs are free to use.
