Am using windows Vista… Trying to unmute my microphone level, but I have no level to unmute!!!?

July 2nd, 2008 · 1 Comment

ok, I am clicking on 'sound' in my control panel, then Im clicking on 'playback', and then 'levels'…. However, instead of getting all channels (ie:- inline, microphone, etc…), I just get the one…..'speakers/ headphone'. This is a pain because without the other channels I cant use my microphone. Grrrrr…. Any ideas/ suggestions?????
I have done all that, but for some reason there is no 'microphone', or 'line in' level bar at all….. just one which is for 'speakers/ headphones'.

      go to control panel

open "Sound" option click on the speakers option and the click properties. click the levels tab

here probably the "Rear green In" or "Rear Black In" are your microphones level.

match the colour with yours mic's jack colour
