do you get the firefox icon in your task bar?
in your task manager (ctrl+alt+delete), under the applications tab, does it say that firefox is running?

Go back to Internet explorer. I did. Firefox has so many problems its not worth it. When I get on the Internet I wanna surf the web …….not fix firefox every 3 minutes.

You have a corrupted file.
You hit a snag somewhere and Fire Fox got twisted. It happens. But it's better to hit a few snags with FF than have to constantly view pop ups and scrape your pc clean because IE is total crap and completely useless.
Uninstall your Fire Fox. Go to your Control Panel and Maintainance. Use the Free Up SPace on Hard Disc to clean up your temp files and stuff. Defragment your pc while you are there.
Download the FF from the site itself, nowhere else. The first link is for downloading it.
The second link is for the Support Forums. I highly recommend you register and make an account there. They are good about answering questions about FF.
My advice to you is to stick with FF or get Opera. I prefer FF because this thing has some serious add ons that save me the trouble of having to install HUGE-FILED complicated programs… No Script, Adblock PLus, Flashblock, Download Helper…these add ons got my FF f'ing rocking.
Just uninstall, clean up your disc, re-install, and sign up at the support forums at the second link below.
