help. i didnt download anything that i know of, but i left my computer on when i left for walmart and when i returned it had restarted itself. i turned it on and it said it was infected and i needed to download anitspyware xp 2009. well i currently have adware and avg on my computer so i tried to run those first. they werent updating properly so i restared the computer. then i tried them again and i could no longer get to the program through my desktop or start menu so i decided to search using internet explorer to see what antispyware xp 2009 was. then when i tried to uninstall it through the add/remove programs, my computer shut off. when i tried to download two alternative ways to remove the virus, my computer shut off. it wouldnt even let me search anymore. now, even in safemode my computer shuts off on its own whenever i make an effort to correct the problem. is f***ing frustrating. im on a friends computer at the moment working rediculously hard to solve this, but cant get anywhere seeing as whenever i turn my computer on now in reg mode, it wont let me open even the start menu, and my bg is gone. in safemode i can only do so much before it shuts off on me. HELP!
reset? how would i do that and would i loose all my files?
and as for the other advice. my computer maybe allows me to fool around for a minute and then it just turns off. IM FLIPPIN OUT

Antispyware xp 2009 (2009 or 2008, or Antivirus XP2009, system antivirus, smart antivirus or other names - there are many clones of this rogue software) is a piece of malware that infects your computer and constantly pops up notices that you have an infection and you have to buy or update Antivirus 2009. This is a scam to trick you into paying $30 for some useless software. The malware installed when you downloaded something from the web, sometimes masquerading as a video codec or other useful software. It is persistent, and infects a number of Windows files.
malwarebyte have created a free rogue removal tool for this problem
because recently thousands of people have been infected.

‘kaspersky’ http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner is reckoned to have some success in removing viruses but I don’t know that you will be able to use it if you are having trouble getting on the PC.
One option is to download backtrack 3 from your friends computer and use that (live install disk) to delete the offending file. (If you can find it all - sometimes you get the virus deleted for it to re-produce itself from some other file.) You can also use this disk to back-up important files.
Another option is to install xp from disk but you may well have the same problem again. The best thing that you could do, in my view, is to download Ubuntu or Mandriva from the internet and install it. Linux operating systems are free and never get viruses. All the software that you get with it is also free and there are thousands of packages to choose from.
If you know what the virus is you should use a live install disk to remove it. (backtrack3)

AntispywareXP2009 (or Antispyware XP 2009) is associated with Antivirus XP 2008 and AntivirusXP2008. This particular anti-spyware application, AntispywareXP2009, is downloaded and installed via a Trojan application and through the use of browser security holes. Obviously all of this occurs without the user’s consent, or knowledge for that matter. An erroneous notification of fake security and privacy risks is displayed to the user of the infected computer, once AntispywareXP2009 is embedded within a computer system. All of which is specifically designed to coerce the user into purchasing the full version of the AntispywareXP2009. It is quite easy to detect AntispywareXP2009 , as this particular malware will cause your computer to be languorous in performance. Experts suggest that AntispywareXP2009 be deleted from a computer as soon as it is detected.
