i clicked on the free scan thing for Antivirus 2008 when it popped up the other day. it did the scan and now it wants me to buy the program so it can remove the stuff on there that it classes as dangerous (i have a virus scanner for ages that works fine). ontop of that it now wont let me into sites that i've been on plenty of times (like yahoo mail) and when i want to "continue unprotected" it wont let me.
how do i uninstall it or get it off my laptop?
(i cant buy it coz i dont have the cash to buy it)
i'd like suggestions but i'd also like to know how to get the antivirus 2008 thing to stop popping up and asking me to register/buy as well

If you have a virus, download AVG 8 Anti-virus:

And for spyware, get SpyBot - Search and Destroy:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
Both are free, as powerful as paid programs and don't use up too many resources.
