Antivirus 2008 spyware…

August 13th, 2008 · 8 Comments

I’ve been asking a lot of questions lately about the Antivirus 2008 virus/spyware. This time, it’s gone too far. Everytime I log on to an account, the computer immidiately logs off. Its Windows XP Service Pack 3. I tried logging in on all the user accounts, and each time I log in, it immediately logs out by itself. Why is this happening? How can I fix it?
I booted in safe mode and went under program files, but I don't see a folder named "XP Antivirus"
I think I have the Antivirus thing removed, but it still doesn't let me log in, I have to log in on safe mode, but I can't do it on normal mode.
Also, whenever I scan it with anything, the scanner always closes on me. Why does that keep happening? It happens whenever I scan with any scanner, it jsut closes…

      I had this same problem. I tried AVG, kapersky, and other anti-virus programs. None worked.

      I ran across this web site, and this forum and this actually worked.

      # Print out these instructions as we will need to close every window that is open later in the fix.

      # Next, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following:

      * Restart your computer

      * After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.

      * Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear

      * Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

      * Login as a user with administrator privileges.

      1.

      # When your computer has started in safe mode, and you see the Safe Mode by doing the following:

      * Restart your computer

      * After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.

      * Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear

      * Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

      * Login as a user with administrator privileges.

      1.

      # When your computer has started in safe mode, and you see the desktop, continue with the rest of the instructions.

      # Click on the Start button and then select the Run option.

      # In the Open: field type C:\Program Files\ and then press the OK button.

      # When the folder appears, if it says These files are hidden, click on the Show the contents of this folder option.

      # When the C:\Program Files\ folder opens, look through the list of folders and when you find the folder named XPAntivirus left-click on it once so it becomes highlighted.

      # Then hit the Delete button on your keyboard and when it asks if you are you want to delete the folder, click on the Yes button with your mouse.

      # When the folder is deleted, reboot your computer back to normal mode.
