Antivirus removal?

July 12th, 2008 · 5 Comments

1) I have an antivirus program that located and blocked like a couple of viruses but did not delete them. But now i want to uninstall it so i can upload a newer version. Will that open all infected files that the VIRUS program has blocked off?

2) how do u delete those viruses without rebooting ur computer?

3) can viruses enter files in the operating system but be blocked off so it allows u to continue working ur computer, and if so, how can u get rid off them without deleting the files of the operating system?

Update your antivirus it should remove the virus if it does not
Meaning your antivirus is not powerful.
The virus can enter ur system files when it stays long on your machine
take note of the virus name you might find it running in your processes
by opening task manager and processes
end process tree of the virus
look for the path of the virus and delete them,
open registry ( start, run, regedit) ctrl F(find) type virus name and search delete all files of it.
It all depends on the virus on your machine some disable task manager, cmd, regedit e.t.c.
If This is a bit complicated download Avg 8.0
from free.grisoft.com if only you have a good memory and a reliable pentium
update it and perform full scan
      Avastv4.8/4.7 can do that too
here is the link to it:
      http://mars.arts.u-szeged.hu/ftp/virus/FREE/Avast/
      download .exe file
      or
      http://www.pranavaj.net/downloads/Avast%20Anitvirus/

restart machine and let it scan automatically.
It will remove all traces of virus.

Try an antivirus called NOD32, u can install it without rebooting and it is the best antivirus.

you can download it form http://www.eset.com/download/
