Antivirus troubles?

i have CA (ca.com) my subscription is set to end in june 11 2009

on june 11 this year my antivirus started saying "SECURE NOW" so, i attempted a system scan, that failed and said "not all required fields available, please update product". so i clicked update, and the update keeps failing. i am perfectly able to scan for spyware, and update antispyware, im just having trouble with the antivirus
