I've tried various ways to remove it. Even the manual instructions where you remove one piece at a time. It always falls apart at one of the steps saying that certain files cannot be found, or denies access. I didn't even download it. After my Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware did a full system scan, it prompted me to restart. When I did, Antivirus XP 2008 was already downloaded onto my computer. Obviously this is some tricky malware and I desperately need assistance.

VIRUS REMOVAL
1st thing would be to close/turn off System Restore where critters hide out till you Restore the virus.
start,all programs,system tools,system restore
settings,turn off system restore.
this deletes all prior restore points and deletes anything hiding there.
REMEMBER TO RETURN AND:
A] TURN SYSTEM RESTORE BACK ON
B] CREATE A NEW,CLEAN RESTORE POINT
next, download and install use Avast anti virus, run it and remove virus that way

another poor victim of china or russia against the us govt or estonia.
get a friend who's done this procedure before and bribe them with cookies or scifi movies…
save only your most critical files onto a CDR if the malware lets you.
format all hard disks
throw out every cd/dvd that you have that you didnt buy in a store (besides your 1 cdr backup of important files)
reinstall your operating system
scan that backup cdr with an antivirsus before using it on your computer.
setup and use long crazy unguessable random passwords that you could remember if you wanted to and write them down and put them in your wallet.
use a different password for everything, windows logon, online bank accounts, email - EVERYTHING
never open weird emails from people you dont know
dont trust anyone from nigeria - too much computer crime coming from there
dont download from any place that is untrustable - ask alot of ppl about a site to see if theyve atleast heard of it.
the reformatting and install along with the tossing of all untrustable and probably comprmised cd/dvds will 100% guarantee that the malware, worm virus - whatever, is gone.

This is spyware - some really nasty spyware. Don't delete any more files or try any more manual removals. Get SuperAntiSpyware immediately, download, install and run a full scan. It may take a long time, depending on the size of your hard drive and how much you have on it, but this is the only thing I found that will remove this mess.

Hereafter, update this weekly and run it weekly and you'll keep this kind of junk under control. It sneaks up on all of us!
