I have had this rouge virus on my computer once before, i got rid of it using the super anti spyware scan, and it destroyed it. It came back again months later, and now it’s done more damage than ever to my pc. I am right now running it in safe mode because if i try to run it normally, the computer freezes at the welcome screen. The super anti spyware found the virus and it supposedly got rid of it, but it didnt. It was supposed to reboot my pc when it deleted the virus, and my computer froze on the windows shutting down screen. so i had to manually shut it off. I’m doing another search with this spyware and nothing is coming up. Does anyone know another antimalware program thats FREE, because I definetly cant afford to pay for something like norton. I need something free. please can someone help me

Free is almost never good and usually not even descent. The best way is of course to cough up the $50 or so and get Norton (assuming you fix your computer first). Think of it this way, to have someone fix your computer for you (a very likely possibility if you have no protection) it can range from $100-300. Antivirus is $50. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of repair.
Free: Avast, AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy. None of these are great, they’re mostly just descent. HijackThis is a good utility if you know what you’re doing. Also, trying to install antivirus after your computer is infected is usually not good. Antivirus is good at preventing infections but infections can be extremely hard to clean after the fact. You can also manually remove the virus yourself if you know how.
Good: Paying someone to fix your computer for you and then getting a name-brand antivirus like Norton or McAfee.

You need to run anti malware software to remove xp antivirus 2008, Malwarebytes should remove it but also run Superantispyware to remove any other infections, run SmitfraudFix if the first to fail two completely remove it.
Download and scan your computer with the the following free software in order one by one, delete what ever they find should leave your PC free of infections:

Hello Michael, We have this same question about this rouge malacious form of spyware/malware program (antivirus xp 2008) often and I and others here have gave their opinion as to what program to use to get rid of it, so here goes again. I always recomend superantispyware program because it is very good at getting rid of and continuelly protect the computer from (spyware, malware, adware, trojan horses, and some computer worms) So click on this link to give it a try ok (http://www.superantispyware.com) Now in order for any spyware program to keep protecting your computer you need to make sure to keep it updated and run a scan at least once a week and if you don't do that then that is when you are setting yourself up for all kind of problems later. Most people forget or don't even think about computer protection until it is too late that is why it is so important to keep All protection program updated (Your windows need to be set to run updates automatic, your Antivirus program need to be updated with the latest updates often (automatic setting) and run a Full System Scan at least once a week , and your Spyware program has to be updated often also and you need to run a scan at least once a week to.) By doing this after things has already happen is too late. I still will say that Superantispyware is one of the top best Free Spyware program out todate and it Will and Does get rid of Malware like this program (antivirus xp 2008) Others here that have had this same program on their computer were able to get rid of it (completely) by using this same spyware program ok. You can also try using microsoft Window Defender
