I’m beginning to think that I have to clean my drive. I’ve tried literally everything to get rid of it. I’ve downloaded numerous spyware programs and have scanned my computer. I’ve even attempted to delete many of the spyware files manually and I have.
But even with all the files I deleted, i can tell it’s STILL on my computer. My computer is very sluggish. And my internet browser still is being affected because clicking links automatically opens up some ad in another window. And there are even some rare moments where if you type in anything related to Antivirus XP in google it’ll completely shut down my browser for a few moments.
Is there anybody out there who has COMPLETELY removed this annoying virus?
Parabola I've already done ALL of those steps. There's clearly SMALL parts of it lost somewhere that scanners can NOT pick up.
And YES! I can't view that website at all! Even with that link to download it, it still won't show up!? How can I view that website?
I've already done all of those steps as well. I've even manually deleted files out of the registry and c drive.
But to no avail, I might just give up and reformat my c drive since it seems impossible.
Oh well..
Yes, I have. I've looked through every possible place it could be. I've even checked through all of the registry keys and that was a pain. I'm going to spend most of the day looking through my computer I guess. One last stab at it.
Finally! I used Spyware Doctor and it found the nagging file hidden in the registry somewhere!
Thanks to all who helped.

This is how I got rid of Antivirus XP 2008. It is different than the XP Antivirus 2008 most sites refer to.
First you need to stop the program from loading on startup. This is what you do to stop it:
Start, run
Type msconfig
Go to Startup tab
Uncheck lphc35dj0e1an
Uncheck rhc75dj0e1an
Click apply, then ok
Restart computer
Then you need to delete the main files this program uses. Delete the following file:
C:\windows\system32\lphc35dj0e1an.exe
Then delete the following folder and all files in it:
C:\program files\rhc75dj0e1an
This should remove the program from your system but you probably still have a warning message displayed as your wallpaper in Windows and the virus removed the ability to change the wallpaper or your desktop settings.
To restore ability to change your desktop settings and select a different wallpaper and screen saver do the following:
Start, run
type Gpedit.msc
Navigate to User configuration, Administrative Templates, Control Panel, Display
Right click on Remove Display in Control Panel
Click on Properties and select Disabled
Do the same steps to change the following attributes to disabled:
Hide Desktop Tab
Prevent changing wallpaper
Hide Apperance and Themes tab
Hide Settings tab
Hide Screen Saver tab
You should now be able to use your computer normally and change the wallpaper to something other than the warning message Antivirus XP 2008 set it to.

How to remove AntivirusXP2008:
http://www.pcthreat.com/parasitebyid-6953en.html
AntivirusXP2008 (or Antivirus XP 2008, AntiVirXP08, AntivirusXP 2008, Antivirus2008XP) is a new rogue antispyware program. AntivirusXP2008 rogue antispyware (or you can call it XPAntivirus2008) is a latest clone of Xp Antivirus, Antivirus2009, XPAntivirus2008, Antivirus2008, Antivirus 2008 rogue programs. Antivirus XP 2008, or Xp Antivirus, uses fake warning popups, fake security alerts to scare and trick user into buying a “full” version of AntivirusXP2008. Users can get AntivirusXP2008 infection from a Trojan (usually it can be Trojan Zlob) or fake video codec’s. AntivirusXP2008 will launch every time when user starts up Windows and it is going to generate million of annoying popups that are very difficult to close. Users should delete AntivirusXP2008 as soon as possible from their computer system to prevent damage to their privacy or data!
