ok, I have the free addition of AVG 8.0 There is a new update for it to update the deffinitions for the anti-virus and anti-spyware. Well, thw problem is that everytime I try to get the new patch/update, it keeps canceling it out becuase of a “missing .bin file”. Soooo, I have to virus/malware protecttion at all. coulod any of you recommend a good free combo anti-virus/spyware program? money is tight…so thats why I am asking for free. Thanks all

Get rid of the AVG crap, as you can see it can’t even protect itself.
Use the following:
browser - http://www.opera.com/ - replace IE, it’s a malware magnet junk
antivirus - http://www.avast.com/

download ZoneAlarm Suite. go to http://www.zonealarm.com and download it email me so i can give u the code cause it is trial software without it.
