Have you got anti-spyware? This is most likely your problem. Also do not give them admin accounts to use, they download junk and infect the machine. I use AVG for ALL my clients machines, it never lets us down. Do NOT run 2 anti-virus at once, they conflict and reduce security by about 60%.

Avast - free, or Avira - not free, but there is a free trial, and it gets high marks.

Rumor has it that running more than one AV at a time is not a good idea.

As an expert with the department of defense who works specifically with keeping this sort of problem from happening. I'll explain to you what you need to do as briefly as possible and it WILL fix your problem.

      1. Download this tool here….
      http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Norton-Removal-Tool-Download-26173.html
      2. Download this next…
      http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

run each one and DONT restart your computer yet.

      3. Download this….

Yes this is a free AntiVirus program however it WILL fix your problem and for the past 5 yrs been one of the top 3 anti virus softwares you can buy.

After you install Avast AntiVirus, it will ask you if you want to run "a boot time scan" make certain you select YES. This is critical because it will remove any viruses you have, if it finds any and if it does don't select quarantine, be sure to select DELETE.
Once its clean your computer will start up normally and it will not be slow and it will not be problematic any longer. However you could have other problems, which I can help you with as well.

I would also suggest installing this…
      http://download1us.softpedia.com/dl/645fb6e058f0286ebd4b6198e2e0b6a1/47eb313c/100074235/software/tweak/revosetup.exe

Although you could use add/remove programs to uninstall things, when you use this tool it removes the registry key which can clog up your computer and slow it down, so install it and remove any programs you dont use that you see, such as AVG as well.

I would strongly suggest using Ccleaner found here too…
      http://www.filehippo.com/download/8df12f83ade22f96ae7abc5a72af046d/download/

put a check mark by every single item you see in the "cleaner" and run it and remove all the crap it finds and then use the registry part of it and fix any thing it finds.

Your computer will be golden now.

Have a great day and *if you choose to keep Avast antivirus which i suggest you should, right click the icon after you've done all the above and go into the Program Settings, then click "update (basic)" and make sure both are set to "automatic' and your computer will always be virus free and should run just fine.

      have a great night.
