Yeah good ol’ cons would have been like….hey we should invest all the SS funds into AIG, LEH, GS and BSC….it is a foolproof plan!

Until a liberal proposes a better way to actually PAY for the liability then yes, they do . . . Check out what the Texas Fed Chairman said about the pending liability . . . we have to do something . . . so this idea may not be the best but so far it’s the only alternative that’s been proposed.

There’s nothing left of the social security fund to invest, it was looted in the 1990s. So it’s really a mute point.

You do know the max anyone could’ve (IT WAS OPTIONAL) put into a “private” account was 4%, right?
I can still guarantee that 20 years from now, 4% of your Social Security tax being put into the market will be worth FAR more than the return you’ll get on that 4% from Social Security in its current form.
I know you knew about the 4% limit, right? Good Lord…

Well, actually, over the last 20 year period, various NYSE indexes have performed very well!

Even today, my mutual funds and stock investments are blowing my social securty benefits away.
If my social security deductions were in these funds, I would already be retired.

I grew up in the seventies and will be among the first group of people to have social security run out, so to me, your question is moot.

The stock market has consistently returned 10% over the long term. I love the way you liberals keep your heads buried in the sands of ignorance and ignore facts….LOL….hilarious.

And the perps will not face any justice! If a politician was responsible there would be a riot, but the rich encouraged stupid risk taking whose only object was making money for them, and the rest of us have to pick up the pieces. Thatcher and Reagan were wrong, the market must be allowed to be run with no checks or balances!
Mind you, it was nice seeing the parasite bankers with no jobs and no pay cheque this Friday!
If the majority stood up around the world we could stop this rubbish from happening again and re-distribute wealth more equitably.
Anyone want to join me in a revolution?
