We have both McAfee and Spy Sweeper running on our PC. A McAfee customer service rep told me that McAfee won’t run properly w/ Spy Sweeper running and that I should uninstall it. Is he correct? Note: our spy sweeper only looks for spyware, not viruses. thanks!

I don’t know about Mc Afee, but I have been trying all day to upgrade my Trend Micro AntiVirus to the 2010 version and having nothing but trouble. Last year’s version went just fine. I spoke with someone who said I needed to uninstall the previous version. So I did that, along with the current version and re-downloaded it. Still no luck. Another round of e-mails later and I find out that this version is not compatible with Webroot Spy Ware and Windows Defender. All have been running on this machine since I got it 2 or 3 years ago. They told be to disable the other two pieces of software and only use Trend Micro. Any one else come across this?
