Are the statistics Daily? Kaspersky Antivirus 2009?

Ok i had another thought, Are the statstics on the left bar graph daily?
I wonder because as i went to look on protection's reports and statictis tthere were two bar graphs one that read total and one today. Today read 3 viruses detected but nothing else, so then does that mean on a different day there may be nothing detected or will the viruses stay because most of them were found through internet explorerer and not actually anywhere on my comp. i'm just scared because my computer seems to be working fine, there are no problems i'm just wondering y does it say it's detected but everything's fine? is it just being supervised or wat?

and also because i remember it changing one day where there were no viruses detected. but on another day there was.
