I'm thinking of no longer using yahoo, but like the "unlimited" storage space of yahoo.
thanks for all responses.
Oh, forgot to add, is there one that has all of the above and email notification. I know yahoo has, through their instant messenging, I think instant notification. I know that's a lot to ask, but maybe someone uses an email account with all those features or it's a plug in of some kind.
thanks

gmail has an option for encryption. That is, using https protocol, it encrypts traffic. I use a firefox plugin that always redirects me to the encrypted option.
storage space is unlimited for all practical purposes. 6.5 GB

First, only email accounts have limited space. For PC email clients, the mailbox size is limited by disk space.
Second, Google's Gmail offers 6.5 G free space free, and it is possible to purchase more. Also, you can access your mailbox through encrypted connection using web client (logging in in google account is always done through secure connection). For POP3/IMAP access only secure connection is possible.
There are couple other large space alternatives, like walla.com. Sadly, I am not sure about their encryption.
