Are there any free virus website scanning programs like Mcafee for Google Chrome?

I have the program you can download at siteadvisor.com, from Mcafee it works on IE and Firefox, but not Chrome. When I search for a website on google, it will give me a green check mark if the website is safe, and an "x" if not. Also I have the free AVG program as well, I downloaded it to see it it might work , but same problem, not on Chrome.

Is there any free programs that will work for the Chrome browser. Just simple enough to ensure that a website is safe?
