I have this anti virus program called Authentium AntiVirus SDK-2 installed on my computer that i did not install. Anyone know anything about this program? It dose not show in the windows xp add or remove programs list but it is in the list of installed programs on revo uninstaller.

I have the same thing in my add remove programs but it’s just listed, you can not remove it there. I don’t know how it got there. Maybe peer guardian? I’d like to know what it belongs to before I remove it.

I downloaded a registry editor from tucows.com. Did a complete registry scan and deleted every comment line that indicated the terms
> Authentium
> SDK-2
> Uipophidden
I did a reboot …. at first an error screen indicated that my antivirus problem is not loaded, I cancelled this window…. and I checked my system and the APPROVED antivirus program that I personally installed on my PC was working fine….and the Authentium directories did not install…also those popups that kept appearing indicating ” SDK-2 was about to load” have not appeared again…case closed

I to am having the same problem, Just a question to you guys, are you with Virgin Media? as i have heared that Authentium licenses out its antivirus software to a company called radial point which Virgin gotr to make PC guard for them.
Just an idea not sure tho

Yeah Im with Virgin… at first I thought it was a ‘lesson learner’ via AVG for uninstalling but it looks like those good old Virgin boffins have given me something to contend with so as to stop bothering them :-/
