so, i just downloaded avast. i’ve only had it for a few days now, and i’ve run virus tests and everything and not much has come up. but today i was just going through my picture-windows photo gallery, and then all of a sudden i started getting all these warning messages for avast saying that i had malware in like 10 of my pictures, and it wanted me to move the files to it’s “virus chest” but now that they’re there i have no idea what to do with them…
so how do i still keep the pictures but get rid of the virus or whatever that is connected to them?

Download, install, update and select Full Scan.
Remove all infections that it finds after scan
