When I turned on my computer today, Avast told me that c:\program files\verizon\mccitrayapp.exe was a trojan and suggested that I move it to the chest, which I did. It said that it was “Win32:Spyware-gen [Trj]” but I checked online and that file seems to be normal…..
I do get a popup from Zone Alarm every once in a while saying that mcci+ …something… is trying to access the internet or whatever, and I always hit deny.
So what is up with this trojan thing that I’m getting? Is it really a Trojan? And if so, did moving it to the virus chest take care of it? Thanks so much! I’ll pick a best answer TODAY!
Okay, so I moved it to the chest… Did that take care of it? Do I have to worry about my computer being infected still?

The program may well be legitimate, but if a trojan gets into the machine it can infect any program file, or set up a file of its’ own.
