I read that size of chest is 256Mb. What happend when chest is full? How to empty it?
I do not understand what effekt is to move virus to chest, I think it is better to delete it, but Avast always recomend to put it in chest. Why?
And when he suggest it to delete does Avast mean to delete ONLY virus or whole file?
Thanks for your kind and competent explanation.

When the chest is full, the oldest things in the chest are deleted automatically.
You can empty the chest by deleting its contents. Start the main interface, click on the chest icon. select 'infected files' on the left.
Avast recommends putting detected viruses in the chest largely because of the risk of false positives. Virus programs sometimes have to make close calls about files that might have a virus and might not. There is no way to avoid missing a virus without sometimes detecting a virus where there isn't one. Putting the file in the chest allows you to get it back if removing it breaks something.
In Avast, 'delete' means to delete the whole file if the virus cannot be removed. Technically, if it's a virus, it can be removed. But Avast also detects trojans, which cannot be separated. (Generally there would be no point, because the program's sole purpose is harmful.)
