Relax. Yahoo has no virus!
It is a confirmed false positive detection by Avast anti-virus. The official word from Avast is that the issue will be fixed with the next Avast VPS update:

Keep manually checking for Avast update manually…just right click the Avast "a-ball" icon > Updating > iAVS Update
Good luck.

I'm getting the same thing. I get the avast warning block that says "virus was found" and it only seems to warn me when I go to yahoo.com. My information states-
http://www.yahoo.com/\unp244235695
vps version 080622-0,06/22/2008
Are we sure this is nothing to worry about?? Should we just ignore the warning and continue as if nothing is wrong??

In the meantime, until The Avast false-positive is fixed, you can circumvent the block by going to yahoo.com/mail.
