I tried installing AVG free edition 8.0 last night and after everything was done, it said installation was failed and this was the details it gave me. what does it mean and how do i install it properly?

try to delete or uninstall the 7.5 edition first.
then install the eight edition.
it works for me.

I like AVG, I just installed it on one of my computers.
If its not working for you, then you can try another free one - Avast

Try to install it again. If it doesn't work, I recommend the spyware terminator (antispyware and anti-virus) for free.

i hope u would have downloaded free trail versino of AVG 8.0..i too had the same problem when i tried installing it..probably some file may be missing in set up..

Well I dont know if you have tried this or not. If you have the old version of avg still installed uninstall it then reinstall the new avg 8.0.I dont know if it will work but you can try. Here is a website you could look at to see if they can help.
