Who else apart from me is annoyed that AVG anti-spyware (http://free.grisoft.com/doc/download-free-anti-spyware/ ) has been discontinued?
And who doesn't like AVG anti-virus?
I know it still works fine, but I gather that they are about to stop updating it.
And I don't want to buy AVG. I have Avira which is waaay better.
By the way, I don't need any more protection: I'm just looking for opinions.
I have Comodo, Spyware Terminator, Avira, Spybot, AVG anti-spyware and Returnil

despite the fact, avg is a complete solution, i am using it.
is antispyware 7.5 discontd ??
i don't know, but i just installed it a week ago.
I think avg free versions are not the complete solution, but i am not sure about services for paid versions.

it's working fine on my end, even if it's free
unlike norton, i paid too much for it but im not satisfied, it slows down my pc as well

I don't like any AV programs. Caused more trouble than saved.
To me, stuff like F-Secure, Kaspersky, Nod32 are better. Bitdefender also.

I have AVG professional, and had to pay for it.
I also have other anti-virus/spyware/rootkit/adware programs and i find that there is not one program that will find everything.
One program will find some things while others will find different problems.
You need a variety of programs and need to keep them up to date.
I use AVG, Spyware Doctor, System Mechanic, C-Cleaner, Sophos anti rootkit, Ad-aware and Bug Doc Pro.
Scan directly after visiting unknown sites.

AVG is poop. Computer Associates Internet Security Suite is far superior and available free at Roadrunner.com for Time Warner subscribers.
