My Avg Free edition detects a threat in a file, and it says do you want to remove threat, and i Click Yes-Remove. But then it asks me if i want to force Threat removal, and with a warning saying-"can cause computer to crash". Should i force the threat removal???

I am having the same problem on my computer for 2 days now. Anti Virus Protect 2.1 It is trying to protect me from some virus it claims I am susceptible to. I wonder if it's a scam to buy the anti virus protection.
