AVG closed down during a scan and now won't open? Command Prompts?

July 10th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I've had a couple viruses lately so I decided to do a scan. After 30 minutes I came back and checked AVG and it had a box that said AVG needed to shut down, I was so mad after all that wait for the scan and then it didn't even finish. -_- But anyways I keep trying to turn AVG back on but it won't. I think maybe it from a virus? I did multiple Spybot scans and removed some viruses but AVG still won't start up. This has never happened before with past versions of AVG but then again I recently just installed AVG 8.0 so i don't know if it's just the version that's screwing it up or what?

Also, command prompt boxes keep popping up everyone once in a while and they quickly automatically close. It started once the AVG wouldn't work.

Sorry for the long questions, try to answer them all. Thanks! [=

AVG 8.0 is very unstable compared to 7.5 it looks better but always goes wrong, I ended up removing AVG and switching to Avast.

      Get Avast from http://www.download.com
