hi friends, can you recommend me to choose a good antivirus program avast free , avg free and threatfire free ,it should detect and remove viruses and other security features, it should be free for life and effective, i have a slow dial up and important data on my pc, threatfire claims that u dont need to update regularly, these three are the best so help me choose, dont recommend anyotherprograms , avg free claims to be the best but it does not have rootkit and i doubt that avast can remove viruses, and i dont know anything about threatfire, i have a slow dialup

I have used both AVG 8.0 and Avast. And I am very much happy with the performance of AVG 8.0.
I suggest you to go for - AVG 8.0

Avg is probably your best bet. Easy to use interface, cheap and has internet security and notification for potentially harmful websites. Great program.

Threatfire all the way. Just go to http://www.threatfire.com and just see the stats. Threatfire keeps you safe and can also perform highly effective scans.

I have used both Avast and Avg,with Avg I suffered many false positives,with that Avg detecting some of my games to be viruses,while no other Antivirus has detected them,I prefer Avast,with its boot-time scan that makes it able to take down the viruses while they are inactive,and its 7 providers that provide protetion to your system in addition to the real time protection that it provides..
but be sure to download the program`s basical update from the download page on http://www.avast.com its about 18MB..that all what you will need to get your pc protected with Avast
