avg installation issues?

May 24th, 2008 · 1 Comment

i just installed windows xp onto my system and its working good, only problem is i cant install avg and i need it really bad because its only a matter of time before i get a virus, so this is the problem with it, i download it and during installation it stops and brings up a window that says this, you are trying to install avg on an operating system that unfortunatly does not support all requirements for this program to run properly, the supported operating systems [windows 2000 sp4+update rollback and higher] are listed on our website http://www.grisoft.com/ww.90833
ive went there and tried to install my service pack, for windows xp pro but it didnt really work out too well, im going to try it again but does anybody have any other suggestions to what else i could try?
