avg or avast antivirus?

April 28th, 2008 · 1 Comment

sir
i have dowloaded and uses avast antivirus 4.8 and updated it, i read in pc magazine that avg antivirus is excellent, cnet rates both of them as excellent, should i switch to ang from avast??

i scanned and moved viruses to chest with avast, but still i have some problems , when i start my pc, my documents folder open twice automatically, my pen drive is not recognized by other computers, it says one of the devices attached… has malfunctioned, the problem was with my desktop , now its in my laptop after i transffered files thru pen drive the download size of avg is massive,a whopping 45 mb so i would like to know if its better than avast latest version
thanks

Although they both are pretty recognised anti virus softwares but according to me they are still not that efficient. If you want a better option that would be "Avira" its very efficient in detection rate and considered 2nd best among all anti virus softwares.
You can get it from here >> http://www.free-av.com/
Downlaod the "Avira AntiVir Personal - FREE Antivirus" its all free. Also download anti spyware softwares
Spybot and ad aware se << both are free just gon google and search for them you can easily get it.
After installing all 3 softwares first update the anti spyware softwares and run a scan with it clean your pc and then run scan on anti virus.
that would pretty much fix your pc.
As far as chosing between avg and avast i will choose avg. but still recommend "Avira"
