AVG update manager disabled?

August 17th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Ok, When I start up my computer, The update manager is disabled, So, When I go into update manager, And try to set the automatic updates at a specific time interval I get this error

The selected update frequency value is invalid. Allowed values are 15-60 minutes and 1-24 for hours,

Then, I click ok, Then I click save changes again, And it says

The data has been changed, Do you want to save all changes before switching to a diffrent view?

I click ok, It takes me back to the main menu thing, and it still says update manager is disabled

I’d be tempted to take AVG off pc and then download a new copy of avg. Alternatively go to AVG website which has a forum and discuss problem with others using AVG

Best thing to do is uninstall an reinstall if its acting up. If its only the update manager that seems to be the issue, make sure its not disabled to start up, click start, run, type ‘msconfig’, and go to the start up tab, make sure all items that have the words avg are checked, and restart if necessary.
