AVG Wont uninstall? Help?

Hi I basically want to delete Avg 8.0 the free addition off my laptop and install Kaspersky but when I try to install it, the installation says that AVG is still on my laptop and it wont install Kaspersky. I have already deleted AVG in add/ remove programs and deleted all AVG files so I don't know what to do next. Please help!! It would be much appreciated!
