how do i get rid of it? its stuck on my computer.. i didnt even download it.. something pops up in the corner of my laptop saying "windows has detected spyware infection" and will download the lastest antispyware — i havent bought it or downloaded it but the popup is very annoying and im afriad its still doing stuff with my computer now———– this is my moms work computer and very important.. PLEASE HELP. and so i gogoled awola antivirus and its obviously a scam but i dont trust the links that it gives me.. what do i do? is norton antivirus good? should i tell my parents?
please please please please help im really worried. this is very important.

Your computer likely has a Smitfraud infection. Any "warnings" are fradulant and a scam.
Almost all "general purpose","all-in one" spyware and virus removal programs such as AVG, Norton, McAfee or Spybot S & D cannot remove it.

Your anti virus program won't do you any good as that is a spyware/malware problem, and AV programs don't address spyware unless they are a full suite program that includes an anti spyware program…….
Since it is mom's work computer and you couldn't install an anti-spyware program on it in all likelihood not having Administrator privileges, you can go to Trend Micro's site and run their free online program called HOUSECALL, and have it check for both viruses and any spyware/adware/malware…… go to this website: http://www.housecall.trendmicro.com and follow the steps to run both anti programs to clean the computer of the spyware…..
Many times, work sites don't install an antispyware program on a computer, but if there is one or more on the computer like AdAware or Spybot or SuperAntiSpyware then just run those programs to find and delete the malware………

type in msconfig
press enter
goto the startup tab
uncheck everything there except your antivirus
press ok (It will ask you if you want to restart your computer ,click restart)
When you computer restarts click do not show this window again

You should also be aware that sometimes the process of removing malware can frag your computer system files and make the computer not work. So you may be better off telling your parents beforehand and enlisting their help in cleaning up the infection.
