What is the best one? I have the 1.06 version, and it seems to be fine, but I got a new computer and want to get it on this one. Is there a better one? Or should I just go with the 1.06?

The latest version is always the best, due to upgraded security features and virus definitions.

Hi,
I use version 7.1.0.10. It’s a free download. I also use something called spybot search & destroy. You should use more than one. There threats that are detected by one and missed by the other. They both have options to check for updates to their database. That way you can always have the latest protection available. I will provide the links for you below.

I hope you mean http://www.ad-aware.com by lavasoft. It matters having the dash in there. And always having the latest is the best as spyware/adware writers never sleep in trying to write programs to sneak into your system so too must the antispyware detection programming be up to date to keep up with these attempts. I just looked at the site you indicated and even though it is laid out that way, I would have gone with ad-aware6 as being the lastest version(that only makes sense(1,2,3…) to me.
