pipz, based on your experiences, what could be the best antivirus and anti spyware that could detect almost anything that causes irregularities on your computer.

kaspersky any day. read the website. it compares itself to macafee (which is a joke) and to norton (which is good but very very slow)

If you’re talking best of breed, then Norton is actually the best, despite being a system hog (which isn’t a problem if you have a high-end computer).
But if you just want a good one that’ll stay out of your way, then McAfee is probably good. It’s pretty decent, and if you buy the right package it comes with Site Advisor Plus, which would be enormously helpful.
Cheapwise, Windows Live OneCare is pretty cheap and offers decent protection (definitely not best-of-breed security) and additionally offers some system maintenance tools.
My best experience is with Norton Internet Security 2008.

Id say malware bytes anti malware, Its free and can give you a range between a quick user profil scan, or a full hardrive scan. Also its not limited to just malware but also spyware and has a nice antivirus program too. A must have.

Hard to say really! Its seem to change regularily as with viruses. Voted the top for the last few years is Kaspersky, and Panda Titanium, McAffee. In the last 8 months BitDefender has been voted top among the players! at PC magazine - http://www.pcworld.com/article/124475/top_antivirus_software.html
My advice is to use a couple of the top antivirus softwares on your computer at all times, plus a few ant-spyware such as xoftspy and spyware Terminator, RegCure.
