I have a dual-boot computer with Windows XP and Windows Vista. I use nod-32 Anti-virus System on my Windows XP, and it is a fast efficient computer. Also, nod-32 detects any incoming viruses or harmful programs.
However, nod 32 is not compatible on Windows Vista.. so I downloaded Avast Anti-virus. Even though Vista was slow by itself (at least significantly slower than XP), I think Avast! has made it even slower. What is a good, free anti-virus system that is light on computer usage so it doesn’t slow down my computer, and is efficient and powerful at catching and blocking viruses?
Do you think nod-32 will create a program that is compatible with Vista?
Please help!

I use Avira AntiVir on Vista. I do security testing and the program occupies very low overhead (doesn’t slow your system down) and hasn’t let any known viruses through. I guarantee once you try you won’t go back. Download free at http://www.free-av.com
