I have downloaded the BitDefender antivirus trial version from the internet after feeling bore with kaspersky that the latter has some flaws in detecting virus. And I found BitDefender just fine. Should the buy the license key of BitDefender or will try Nod32 or Avira(These are also fine antivirus software)? Is it really good to go on with Avast home edition which is free of cost?

NOD32 is my recommendation. I found the a problem with BitDefender, I tried downloading a test virus and it was unable to detect ALL of them. Avast! is a good antivirus, but don't rely too much on those free programs to perform as well as the paid ones. Have you ever decided to get McAfee, I found it to the best of all, it doesn't slow down the computer and has a higher detection rate than all the other ones you listed. It detects 91% of them, following Norton and Kaspersky. McAfee Internet Security cost $40 USD at stores, but here's a link to get it free, 100% legal, free, and safe:

McAfee not protects against only viruses but also spyware.

i use avira .. think this is a great anti … been working for me for a couple years now … tried all u have there … all very good avast a little silly on comp usage … but ok none the less … bit defender again very good great ratings … nod32 highly rated … tried for a while with firefox was giving me trouble with certain sites resetting connections … maybe a compatibility issue …not sure … but a great program ….. so i use and will continue with avira ….works for me ……..

NOD32..of the lot is the best one…It's interface is really simple..and takes less resources.I had problems using bitdefender and avast..coz they take up a lot resources.I haven't tried avira..but heard that it's not as good as nod32.
