The problem is reaching things like My Documents, it freezes starting up Firefox takes a while and then it’s freezes (not responding). This happens to every program I try to run. Sum up to everything is my computer is slow and I’m in safe mode right now.
It happened after I defraged my PC then I turned it off, then turned it on and I got a blue screen error, I didn’t see what it said because it disappeared to quick.
Here’s my specs:

You might have a nasty virus. Try using Combofix.

I know with Ashampoo Winoptimizer 5 you can make the computer not restart when having a blue screen (so you can google the error and get some info provided). Where exactly in the program to turn on/off that feature I do not remember. But im sure you can find it fast, since the options op the program isnt big.

Looks like maybe one of your system files might have been compressed or moved during defrag. Once you mess with the system, it is very hard to bring your system back. Sounds like you need to back up your hard drive, if you can, then reformat your system. If you can catch the blue screen again, post the error code or use a search engine to find a fix for the such error. As for the freezing of your programs, it just sounds like Windows is having trouble communicating with the software. Unless you have a virus or malware, It could just be a system error.
In the long run, you will just have to format your system, it will fix the problems and give you a fresh start.

Try running check disk. It looks like you introduced disk errors by shutting down too quickly.
Open Computer, right click on C: (local disk), choose properties, go to the tools tab, error checking.
When you click check now you will get a dialog box, choose both options. Check disk will be scheduled to run the next time you restart the computer.
If you have a large hard drive it will take a while to check it and attempt to correct errors.
